5 Brilliantly Promising Companies 2012

Thousands of new companies are created every year. Some survive; others don’t. And some will move on past basic survival to success, while fewer still will reach their highest potential and keep on growing. Entrepreneur compiled a list of the top 100 most innovative new companies out there, and this year’s list is an inspiring mix of entrepreneurial efforts.

Here’s a small sampling:

·         Synn Labs “brings creative visions to life,” according to Entrepreneur. This creative production company was once an art collective. Now it’s got over 50 employees offering production advice on any number of wild spectacles on your “to do” list.

·         Geoliqi is an app company that’s striving to create apps that require minimal screen time, allowing users to instead focus on reality—essentially changing a phone into a “remote control for reality.”

·         At The Melt is using smart phones to build its brand, utilizing QR codes and kiosks to give the customer the ultimate experience. CEO Johnathan Kaplan has not only perfected the creation of a premium grilled cheese sandwich in less than sixty seconds, but he also offers customers the ability to prepay online, skip the lines, scan their QR code, and get their sandwich in just a few minutes’ time.

·         Zozi makes short, once-in-a-lifetime adventures with world-class athletes possible. Its online platform makes connections with celebrity-status athletes attainable, helping people access adventure of a lifetime they never thought would be possible.

·         SmarterComics finds its work taking business books and translating them into easily-readable graphic novels. This approach makes normally “boring,” dense, dry material more appealing and understandable to a wider audience. Its potential uses are innumerable when we consider widening the topic range: schools, home education, self education, even businesses could cash in.
